Via Francigena - Day 18

A rest day in Lecce as it is the major city in the lower part of Puglia and needs at least a day to look around it. I have been clocking up 40 thousand plus steps a day in the last week and my feet and body are starting to feel it.


There were four major basilica and church's in Lecce that were on a ticketed entry fee. Which I did not buy, so unfortunately I was not able to see inside them but the ones I did see were quite impressive in themselves.


(P.S. unfortunately I have not been able to upload any more photos onto my blog site on my phone ,so I will try on my other devices iPad and laptop, when I get back to Rome later in the week. I have completed the walk to Santa Maria di Lueca and am currently enjoying a few days rest and recuperating in the lovely beachside town. There are 5 more days to post. I'm )
